CIA WiFi for Chrome OS (Chromebook)

These instructions are for a personal device. Contact support.cia.edu if your CIA issued device is not connecting to a wifi network.

You must perform this connection while on the CIA campus in the Academic building in order to complete the process without interruption.

  1. Click on the wireless/network icon in toolbar
  2. Select the settings gear
  1. Select “Add connection”
  1. Select “Add Wi-Fi” and fill in the window as follows

 

  1. Network Name CIA-Student or CIA-Employee (case sensitive)
  2. Security type "EAP"
  3. EAP method “EAP-TTLS”
  4. EAP Phase 2 authentication “PAP”
  5. Server CA certificate "Do not check" Transition of the password is still encrypted buy there is no local security certificate needed.
  6. Enter your Username- not your email, just your username
  7. Enter your Password
  1. Scroll Down
  2. Turn on "Save Identity and password"
  3. Select "Connect"
  1. You are now connected to the CIA Wi-Fi network.
  2. Select "CIA_Guest"
  1. Select "CIA_Guest"
  2. Turn off Prefer this network and Automatically connect to this network
  3. Select "Forget"
