How to Copy a Course | Personal Template

Faculty are able to copy one course over another one of their courses. The course can be one taught previously or a current course which is being taught multiple times. All content can be copied or specific pages and their content.

Read everything during this process. Double check what is being copied and where it is going. There is No Undo.

Log into myCIA and select "Copy Courses"

Be sure to choose the source and then the destination. Don't get confused. There is no undo for this process.

  1. Choose a Term
  2. Choose a course
  3. Choose course(s) copy destination

Everything (Exact Copy)

Choosing Everything will overwrite the destination course entirely. Course name and roster will remain unchanged.

  1. Selecting Course Content will allow for copying desired pages and content
  2. This also provides the option to merge content or simply overwrite the content of the destination

The copy process has completed.

It is now time to edit the course or copy another one.
