Bulletin boards and other areas designated as posting locations may be used to put up notices and advertisements. All materials for posting other than those generated by faculty must be approved and stamped by the Office of Student Life + Housing.

There should be no more than 30 posters printed for each event. This includes 11 posters for Student Life + Housing to distribute to residence hall staff.

Posters/Flyers hung in public areas are required to be appropriate for viewers of all ages.

Unauthorized posters will be removed by Facilities staff.  All posters must be removed within 48 hours of the event’s end by a member of the organization. Please remember that as a sanctioned student organization you represent the College. All postings must be appropriate and follow the guidelines below.

1. Please send copies of advertisements to the Office of Student Life + Housing ([email protected]) for approval prior to printing.
2. Once printed, bring completed flyers to the Office of Student Life + Housing (Suite 120) to be stamped prior to hanging. For distribution in the Residence Halls, please leave 11 copies of the flyers at the front desk.
3. All flyers hung on wall surfaces MUST be hung with blue painter's tape. Flyers hung with other adhesives will be removed. Additionally, students are prohibited from using stickers on College property as they may cause damage to surfaces. Any damage caused to College property via prohibited adhesive materials will result in restitution for the repair.
4. To post on College TVs, email your poster in 16:9 PowerPoint to Richard Sarian in Marketing at [email protected].

Student organizations are permitted to have their own social media accounts; however, there are restrictions to social media marketing:

1. Student organizations are not permitted to use the official CIA logo or branding on any social media platform.
2. Student organizations are to follow all College guidelines set in the CIA Student Handbook.

To use the official CIA logo on any advertising, it needs approval through the Marketing Office (Richard Sarian at [email protected]).
