Lockers and designated storage areas within the Interactive Media Lab are provided to support temporary storage of personal items, project materials and equipment while classes are actively working in IML spaces.
Procedures
Lockers are available at no additional cost to faculty and staff for class use. Lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A maximum of one locker per class may be issued unless explicitly approved for long-term or project-specific use.
Rental Duration
Locker rentals are issued for one-week periods unless otherwise arranged with IML Equipment Checkout. Lockers must be cleared upon checkout or at the end of the rental period. Lockers are reserved through IML’s Equipment Checkout Patron Portal. Upon check-in, students will receive a locker number and a locker key.
If a locker key is lost, the department is responsible for replacement of the lock.
Usage Guidelines
Lockers are for storage of academic and project-related items only. The following items may not be stored in lockers:
Food or drink
Perishable items
Hazardous materials
Liquids or substances that could leak or cause damage
Faculty and staff are responsible for keeping lockers clean, orderly, and secured. The IML is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Enforcement + Clean Out Policies
Damage to lockers or misuse of storage privileges may result in revocation of locker access. Items left in lockers after the rental period has ended may be removed or discarded.
