Steps to view and capture Windows system information for Student Laptop Assessment

Press the Start (⊞) button in the bottom left of your display to scroll to and click on Settings.

RAM

To view your laptop’s RAM, scroll down on the left and click on the About tab, the total value you’re looking for will be displayed as pictured below:

CPU

The highlighted details below will indicate whether your CPU is an I7 or a Ryzen 7.

Storage

To view your storage, then click on the Storage tab within the same window as above, the total you’re looking for is pictured below:

GPU VRAM

Press Windows key ⊞ + r, type in taskmgr and press enter. This will open the task manager:

Click on the GPU tab on the left and your GPU VRAM will be in the location highlighted above.

Back to the About tab, take a screenshot that captures all the information displayed below:

There are a few methods to take a screenshot including using the Snipping Tool application (this can be found by searching in the search bar at the bottom left of your display). You can also press Windows key ⊞ + Shift + s to open the Snip and Sketch crosshair. Drag this around the contents of what you’d like

Save that screenshot as a file and upload it in the file upload question in the Canvas quiz (It’s the last question).

Submit the quiz and you’ve completed the assessment!
